Contrary to popular belief, Hugo Lopez is alive. He is a jazz drummer, musician, composer, and comedian from Long Island, New York. He is a founding member of the jazz-fusion band Mind Open, who will be releasing their first album in 2014, as well as a contributing musician for Christine Sweeney's "Night Songs." Currently he teaches drums at Munro Music, The Musician's Place, and privately on LI.
